Check our Packages on Lymphatic Drainage Post-Surgery

Lymphatic Post Surgery Massages are a process of vital importance, because they are the guarantee of a lasting result and without future complications. they will help to avoid problems like; fluid retention, infections, fibrosis and the formation of fatty nodules around the body.

 What is Lymphatic Drainage Post-Surgery?

During the initial period after cosmetic surgery, patients will experience swelling, bruising, and discomfort. This is to be expected since cosmetic surgery is a relatively invasive procedure and can create significant tissue damage.

Our experience leads us to help our patients with the recovery process after cosmetic surgery with the following technologies and techniques:

  • Radio Frequency

  • Cavitation

  • Manual lymphatic drainage

These are non-invasive procedures that help tighten the skin after surgery, and prevent the formation of fibrosis after liposuction, a buttock lift or a tummy tuck, among other cosmetic surgeries, in addition to improving the appearance of scars.

It can be used to improve scar tissue even in older ones, because it activates the lymphocytes, involved in reconstructing the tissue, and to reduce bruising post-surgery or injury. But it is good not only after the operation; if made a month before the operation, this will favor the elimination of the liquids and toxins from the body, spurring cells' ability to regenerate and repair tissues more fast.

How does it work?

1. Radio Frequency (skin tightening)

We use thermo-stimulation improving blood and lymphatic circulation, thus blood vessels widen under the influence of heat, resulting in hyperemia and increased skin temperature, accelerating metabolic processes, the formation of bioactive substances and the improvement of regeneration processes.

"Radio frequency can be used on the face and body as it rejuvenates the skin, reduces the appearance of cellulite, removes fat and improves the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines."

2. Cavitation (slim body)

Cavitation can be used on large areas of the body where excess fat exists (such as thighs, arms, abdomen, back, or buttocks). This can NOT be applied to the head, neck, or over bony areas. Cavitation emits powerful, safe waves to the skin that make the fat burn and make patients look thin, a slight tingling sensation or buzzing in the ear may sometimes be felt during the treatment, but no pain. The surrounding tissues are unharmed and risk free, this technology has been approved for many medical procedures in addition to cosmetic procedures, the duration of the session with cavitation (contact of the device head with the skin) should only take 30 minutes.  The results are visible only days later, but a minimum of sessions (8-10) are advisable to achieve surprising results.

3. Manual lymphatic drainage

It has the ability to regenerate and repair tissues much faster, reducing bruises and eliminating liquids and toxins from the body. This technique uses sequences of gentle massage movements to stimulate the flow of liquid and blood that accumulates during the first days after surgery through the lymphatic system, thus relieving swelling and producing an analgesic effect.

Benefits

  • The healing of the skin and tissues is much more effective, thus reducing the healing time.

  • Remnants of anesthesia, serum and medication used in surgery are more easily removed.

  • The pain is reduced, thus being much less intense.

  • Hematomas heal much faster.

  • The circulatory system performs its function more effectively.

  • The skin and tissues are hydrated with more intensity, thus achieving a better appearance.

  • The inflammation decreases faster.

Recommendations

The entire treatment will take an average of 50 minutes, it is important that the patient wear compression clothing (Fajas) after the surgery, and after the treatment to help the skin not be loose and the body to have a better shape, in addition the use of this garment will eliminate swelling much faster.

We recommend starting post-cosmetic surgery massage sessions early (two or three days after surgery) to speed up the recovery process and avoid complications and a minimum of ten treatments so that you get positive results.
